Šikuta, Lukáš ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
This work deals with the design of chassis for race car category E2 made from aluminium honeycomb sandwich, design of roll cage and conception of engine mount. In the text are FEM analysis, which are focused on torsional rigidity of chassis and strength properties of roll cage.
Silicone damper of a six-cylinder in-line diesel engine
Drozdek, Lukáš ; Novotný, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This thesis "Silicone damper of a six-cylinder in-line diesel engine " is focused on the proposal of alternative using of silicone damper for the a six-cylinder in-line diesel engine, which is made for tractors and other industrial aplications. The aim of this thesis is to count the oscilation of crankshaft by the help of appropriate dynamic model, then to propose such a basic parameters of silicone damper, which absorbes torsion blip crankshaft to acceptable value. The next part of my thesis is proposal of the constructive implementation of fixation the silicone damper on the free part of crankshaft. The last part of my thesis is comparing and evaluating the oscilation of crankshaft without a dumper and with a new propsal of the silicone damper.
Usage of polymer modified bitumens and rejuvenators in asphalt mixtures
Maláník, Stanislav ; Hýzl, Petr (referee) ; Dašek, Ondřej (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with the influence of various dosing of Reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) using modified bitumen on the properties of asphalt concrete (ACO 11+) of cemented by polymer modified bitumen, while a rejuvenating agents are added into asphalt mixtures. The theoretical part of the thesis summarizes the basic knowledge of pavement recycling, polymer modified bitumens and their reuse in asphalt mixtures. The practical part deals with laboratory tests of ACO 11+ mixtures with the RAP proportion of 0 % to 50 %. The asphalt mixtures compared are evaluated by means of the Thermal Stress Restrained Specimen Test (TSRST) and Stiffness test. The results obtained within the diploma thesis can approximate the issue of recycling of asphalt mixtures with polymer modified bitumens.
Stiffness of Industrial Robot Arm
Vogel, Jan ; Jurčišin,, Miroslav (referee) ; Knoflíček, Radek (advisor)
Stiffness analysis of an arm of an industrial robot with linear kinematics during a drilling operation. For solving this problem are used optical scanners. Finding the optimal cutting force for drilling by criterions: minimal deformation of robots arms and, at the same time, the emerging vibration from the cutting process is also minimal.
Asphalt mixtures with high resistance against cracks
Stromecký, Roman ; Šperka, Pavel (referee) ; Dašek, Ondřej (advisor)
In this bachelor's thesis were suggested two kinds of asphalt mixtures. The first one contains conventional asphalt binder and the second one Crumb Rubber modified Bitumen. The aim of this thesis is a comparison of stiffness and fatigue characteristics of these two mixtures by two-point bending test on truncated wedges. There will be also an evaluation of the impact of an asphalt addition of the Crumb Rubber modified Bitumen in one of these mixtures.
Modelling of damping devices in interaction with a structure
Kalina, Martin ; Lehký, David (referee) ; Frantík, Petr (advisor)
The aim of my master’s thesis was to create models of the damping device and observing their behavior in interaction with the structure. First was the construction separately modeled with Java application named FyDiK2D like a model with one degree of freedom. Model of construction takes form like a high, thin rod with full circular cross section. The lower part was restrained into the subsoil. The design was to verify the correct functionality of the model by comparing the analytical and numerical solutions. For capturing the precise behavior of the structure was converted to a multi-stage model. Then the pendulum damper was applied on this construction and found amplitude lies in highest point of multi-stage model. He was then replaced by tuned mass damper. By comparing these amplitudes from both dampers was found which kind of damper is efficient for multi-stage model.
Design and evaluation of asphalt rubber mixture for pavement binder course
Musílek, Lukáš ; Telecký, Jiří (referee) ; Kudrna, Jan (advisor)
The design of asphalt concrete for binder courses with high-viscosity asphalt rubber and low-viscosity asphalt rubber is carried out in the diploma thesis. Selected performance tests (low temperature characteristics, stiffness and fatigue) and water sensitivity are performed for these mixtures. Results are compared each other.
Modification of asphalt mixtures
Zeleňák, Matej ; Hýzl, Petr (referee) ; Dašek, Ondřej (advisor)
This master’s thesis studies impact of direct-to-plant SBS polymer on properties of asphalt binder and asphalt mixture. It uses a new modification additive. The addition takes place directly during the mixing in the plant. This technology is not commonly used in Czech Republic. The theoretical part of this thesis describes current experiences with this method of modification. The procedures of laboratory tests needle penetration, softening point, elastic recovery, stiffness and low-temperature properties are described. The practical part presents values measured during preparation of test samples. Furthermore, it analyses the test results of the binders and mixtures in detail. The thesis concludes by evaluation of each test result and by summarization of the findings.
Computational modeling of radial hydrodynamic bearings for water machines
Pokorný, Jan ; Šimek,, Jiří (referee) ; Návrat, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to calculate the stiffness and damping coefficients for radial hydrodynamic bearings. Cylindrical and lemon hydrodynamic bearings are considered. The solution to this problem mainly depends on the hydrodynamic pressure in the bearing. The numerical solution of the Reynolds equation is used to calculate the pressure. The effect of variable viscosity and density of the lubricant due to temperature changes is considered. The static equilibrium position of the journal centre is also solved. The stiffness and damping coefficients are determined using small amplitude journal motions about the equilibrium position. Three methods for determining these coefficients are presented. The outcome of this thesis is an algorithm for the calculation of stiffness and damping coefficients for cylindrical and lemon bearings. Results for lemon bearings are presented and comparison with the commercial software DynRot BR is made. The benefit of this thesis is the creation of an algorithm for the calculation of journal centre equilibrium position, a new way of incorporating the temperature changes in the viscosity and the density of the lubricant, and the modification of a method for calculating stiffness and damping coefficients based on experimental analogy.
Issue of asphalt mixtures with coarse-grained aggregates
Koblížek, Ondřej ; Hýzl, Petr (referee) ; Dašek, Ondřej (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the design of asphalt mixture of asphalt concrete type for base courses with maximum aggregate grain up to 32 mm and investigates the influence of the amount of asphalt binder on the properties of this mixture. The theoretical part describes the problem of aggregate shortage in the Czech Republic and the division of aggregates into various categories. In the next part, the laboratory used tests (needle penetration determination, softening point determination, compaction degree, determination of the stiffness modulus, low temperature properties and wheel tracking) are described in detail. The practical part describes the used materials, the results of the laboratory tests, their comparison and evaluation.
